House music with a soulful, jackin' streak — built for the dancefloor and made to last.
The short version
Will Jax is the house alias of Adelaide’s Will Smerdon. What started with house nights in Adelaide grew into a run of originals, EPs, remixes and edits released across a network of underground labels — records built for DJs and made to move a room.
The catalog has had a long life beyond its release dates. Tracks kept circulating and turning up in other selectors’ sets — most notably when Mark Farina picked “Hilltop” for his internationally released Mushroom Jazz 16. The journey shows up in the music too, with a first-party trail running from Adelaide to Vancouver, San Francisco and Seattle.
